Our Mandate: Privacy is not just a legal requirement; it is a vital shield for those building a free Iran.
The HamYad Foundation operates a highly secure, global ecosystem dedicated to transitional justice, cultural preservation, and survivor recovery. Because of the extreme security risks faced by the people of Iran, we operate under a "Zero-Harm & Maximum Security" data mandate. This protocol outlines how we fiercely protect your identity, how we handle necessary data, and your absolute rights regarding your digital footprint.
1. Our Core Security Philosophy
We do not monetize data. We do not sell lists. We do not share operational intelligence with unauthorized third parties. Whether you are a global philanthropist funding our mission or a survivor securely submitting evidence, your data is treated with institutional, military-grade discretion.
2. How We Handle Data (By Stakeholder)
To protect our network, we strictly segment how data is collected and stored based on who is interacting with the Foundation:
Stakeholder CategoryData We May CollectHow It Is ProtectedAt-Risk Individuals (Survivors, Whistleblowers, Internal Volunteers)We minimize collection. We encourage pseudonyms for initial contact. Sensitive evidence (ICC documentation) or tele-health requests are never stored on public web servers.Routed immediately to off-site, end-to-end encrypted databases managed exclusively by our vetted "Shadow Ministry" directors.Global Donors & InvestorsName, billing address, and contact information required for financial processing and OFAC compliance.Processed via highly secure, international banking partners. Stored in compliant, encrypted financial databases accessible only to the Global Advisory Board.Public Advocates & Newsletter SubscribersEmail address and general geographic region.Kept strictly confidential. Used solely to provide Foundation updates and global advocacy action alerts.
3. The "Shadow Ministry" Data Firewall
To ensure the safety of our operations, we utilize a dual-board data firewall.
Our Global Advisory Board only reviews aggregated, anonymized data (e.g., "50 stipends distributed," "200 hours of therapy provided") to ensure financial transparency.
Identifying information regarding survivors or internal operatives is legally and technologically firewalled, accessible only to the anonymous Executive Directorate (Shadow Board) utilizing zero-knowledge encryption protocols.
4. The "No-Surrender" Clause
The HamYad Foundation operates independently of any state actor. We will fiercely resist, through all available international legal channels, any attempt by the regime or unauthorized state entities to access our archives, donor lists, or survivor registries.
5. Your Absolute Digital Rights
In compliance with international frameworks (including GDPR, CCPA, and universal human rights standards), you hold the following rights over your data:
The Right to Erasure: You may request the immediate deletion of your contact information from our public databases at any time. (Note: Verified forensic evidence submitted for ICC prosecution may be subject to international legal preservation mandates, but identifying metadata can be redacted).
The Right to Access: You may request to know what public-facing data we have on file for you.
The Right to Secure Communication: You have the right to communicate with us via PGP-encrypted email or secure decentralized platforms.
6. Security Warning for Submissions
If you are accessing this site from within Iran or a high-risk border region, we strictly mandate the use of a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) before submitting any forms, intake requests, or digital art.
7. Secure Contact
For questions regarding this policy, OFAC compliance, or to exercise your digital rights, please route your inquiry through our Secure Contact portal.
The Future of Iran Will Not Build Itself.
The future is shaped by those who choose to take responsibility. Many have already paid a price for what comes next for a future built on dignity, freedom, and possibility.
Now, the responsibility continues with us. To build with intention. To preserve what must not be lost. And to ensure that the future reflects the value of every life.
