The HamYad Foundation: Global Accessibility & Digital Inclusion Statement

Our Mandate: Access to justice, healing, and truth is a fundamental human right. No technical, physical, or systemic barrier should prevent the people of Iran from securing their future.

The HamYad Foundation is uncompromisingly committed to ensuring our digital infrastructure is accessible to everyone—from international legal bodies in The Hague to survivors accessing our network under severe internet censorship. We view digital accessibility not as a compliance checklist, but as a core extension of our mission to empower the architects of a free Iran.

1. Our Standard of Universal Design

We are actively working to ensure our website complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We have engineered this platform to be navigable, readable, and functional for users relying on assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.

2. The HamYad Accessibility Protocol

Because we operate in a high-risk, transitional justice environment, our definition of accessibility goes beyond standard corporate requirements.

3. Safe "Quick-Exit" Protocol

For users accessing our resources in hostile environments, navigating away quickly can be a matter of physical safety. We maintain minimalist navigation and suggest users familiarize themselves with their browser's quick-close shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl+W or Cmd+W) when interacting with sensitive material.

4. Ongoing Audits & Continuous Improvement

The HamYad Foundation’s Global Advisory Board mandates regular digital audits of our platform. As we build out our 5 Pillars, we will continuously test our digital fortress against emerging accessibility standards and censorship circumvention tools.

5. Secure Accessibility Feedback

If you encounter any barrier that prevents you from accessing our archives, contacting our Wellness task force, or securely submitting evidence, we need to know immediately.

Please contact our technical team via our Secure Contact page. We treat accessibility reports with the same urgency as security vulnerabilities.

The Future of Iran Will Not Build Itself.

The future is shaped by those who choose to take responsibility. Many have already paid a price for what comes next for a future built on dignity, freedom, and possibility.

Now, the responsibility continues with us. To build with intention. To preserve what must not be lost. And to ensure that the future reflects the value of every life.
